This is a concept sketch for a contest at CGtalk. A futuristic soldier begins his journey into Hades, over the river Styx. This is the moment when he encounters the boat man, Charon. I like the fact that the soldier is very much a modern one, and clashes with a well-established view and mythos. You'd expect him to be wearing a toga.
